中国工程院院士，全国建筑设计大师。教授级高级工程师，一级注册建筑师。毕业于东南大学获博士学位。现任深圳市建筑设计研究总院有限公司首席总建筑师、深圳大学博士生导师、深圳大学本原设计研究中心战略发展委员会主任。同时兼任中国建筑学会副理事长、深圳湾超级总部基地总设计师。被先后授予全国建筑设计大师称号、梁思成建筑奖、光华龙腾奖中国设计贡献奖金奖、南粤百杰人才奖等奖项。
长期从事建筑设计及其理论研究工作。主持设计了渡江战役纪念馆、玉树地震遗址纪念馆、深圳前海国际会议中心、香港大学深圳医院、深港西部通道口岸旅检大楼、昆明云天化集团总部等各类工程项目二百余项，获得各类专业奖项80余项。担任国家重点研发计划专项项目“目标和效果导向的绿色建筑设计新方法及工具”的项目负责人。出版《本原设计》《新医疗建筑的创作与实践》《人与建筑的异化》《失重》等多部论著，提出了“本原设计”的创作理论，倡导“全方位人文关怀”理念和“三全方法论”，为工程实践提供了具有可操作性的系统方法与路径。
Meng Jianmin
The Member of the Chinese Academy of Engineering and the Chinese Architectural Design Master. Graduated from Southeast University with a Ph.D. degree, he is a professional level senior engineer, Class 1 registered architect. He is the Chief Architect of Shenzhen General Institute of Architectural Design Research Co. Ltd., Doctoral supervisor at Shenzhen University, Chairman of the Strategic Development Committee of Benyuan Design Research Center, Shenzhen University, Vice Chairman of the Architectural Society of China (ASC), the Chief Designer of Shenzhen Bay Super Headquarters Base, etc. He was given the title of the Chinese Architectural Design Master, the Liang Sicheng Architecture Award, the China Design Contribution Gold Award of Guanghua Dragon Award, the One Hundred Nanyue Outstanding Talents Award.
Presided over the design of the Memorial of Crossing-the-Yangtze-River Campaign, Memorial of Yushu Earthquake, Shenzhen Qianhai International Conference Centre, the University of Hong Kong -Shenzhen Hospital, Shenzhen - Hong Kong West Passport Port Inspection Building, Kunming Yuntianhua Group HQ and more than 200 other projects, and has received more than 80 professional awards of all kinds. Project Leader of the Chinese Key Research and Development Program, the "New Methods and New Tools of Goal and Effect Oriented Green Building Design" project. Published "Humanistic (BENYUAN) Design", "Implementation of Innovation Healthcare Design", "Alienation of Humans and Architecture", "Zero Gravity" and many other works; summed up the "Humanistic (BENYUAN) Design" theory. The concept of "All-Round Humanistic Care" and "Three-Way Methodology" he advocates have systematically provided the engineering practices an operable method and path.
